I think there’s a rumor going around that mixing your creatine with whey protein will make it less effective. I believe this is nothing more than hearsay. I’d say it’s fine to put your creatine in your whey protein shake. You don’t need to add more water, but after you drink your protein shake you should follow it up with a glass of water and sip on it. I always carry a water bottle with me everywhere.
