		<description>This could be very serious unless it is a brief side effect from your cold.

In general if you see flashes of light you have a major and very serious eye problem and you need to see an optometrist.

If you see floaters that is not a problem.

Floaters are dots and other shapes such as cobwebs, needles, fluff and small balls that float past your eyes but when you see flashes of light you need an optometrist.&lt;br&gt;&lt;b&gt;References : &lt;/b&gt;&lt;br&gt;Discussion with an optometrist</description>

		<description>How old are you?...the timing of the flashes of light might have been just a fluke.  If you are young it&#039;s more then likely a result of meds...if you are a bit older like me you may want to pay attention.  TIA&#039;s (small strokes) can present with flashes of light, spots, or interruption of filed of vision.   May a trip to the doctors is in order.
